Greens have respectable result at Hillhead By Election
The Green party candidate Stuart Leckie had a good result at the Hillhead By Election coming 3rd after SNP and Labour. The election was held following the death of George Roberts, 68, who died in September after a short illness.
The result was mared by a very disappointing turnout of only 13%, showing that the By Election was not well publicised and it calls into question the Council's policy of banning the political placards on lampposts on the run up to elections.
